Why Driver ID matters
Modern theft rarely involves breaking in. Relay attacks copy the signal from your key while it sits in the house, and the car is driven away as though it were being used normally. A tracker alone will follow the vehicle. Driver ID is what tells the monitoring centre it is being stolen as it happens, rather than after you notice it gone.
