Does it affect my warranty and can it be removed later?
No and yes. Each kit uses a vehicle-specific loom that plugs into the factory connectors behind the head unit: no wiring is cut or spliced and nothing permanent is done to the car. Unplug it, refit the original parts and there is no trace of the work. That reversibility is what protects your warranty position.
Do I keep my factory functions?
Yes. Original audio, reverse camera, parking sensors and steering-wheel controls carry on as they did from new and CarPlay is added alongside them. On the Mercedes-AMG SLS, COMAND and the reverse camera are retained with the new touchscreen.
Does my car need a retrofit or coding?
Most cars in our range have no CarPlay hardware and need a retrofit: a plug-and-play loom behind the factory screen. Some newer cars have the hardware fitted and switched off and need coding instead. We code Porsche PCM 4.0, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley and Rolls-Royce. Send your VIN and we will tell you which applies.
How long does fitting take?
Most installations are completed in a single visit of two to four hours. Some cars take longer, the McLaren 600LT with its carbon interior for example and we give you a realistic window when we confirm the price.
Do you come to me?
Yes. All fitting is mobile: your home, office or storage facility, anywhere in the UK and globally on request. Most of our work is between Leicester and London.
What does travel cost?
60p per mile from Leicester, calculated on the round trip, so a car 40 miles away is charged as 80 miles. Leicester and the surrounding towns carry effectively no travel charge.
What warranty do I get?
An 18-month hardware warranty on everything we supply, whether we fit it, you do, or your own installer does, provided the fitting form and photographs of the connections and mounting location are sent to us at the time of installation.
Can I buy the kit and fit it myself?
Yes. Every kit we sell can be installed by you or your own installer and ships from Leicester with a fitting guide and remote support. McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Range Rover L322 / Discovery 4 kits are listed as kit only or supply and fit; Rolls-Royce and the McLaren GTS are listed at the fitted price, with kit-only pricing on enquiry.
I am outside the UK. Can you supply a kit?
Yes. Every kit ships worldwide from Leicester with the same fitting guide and remote support. Import duty and local taxes are payable on arrival and are not included in our price; for the USA, the $800 duty-free allowance no longer applies. Mobile fitting is available nationwide and globally on request.
Which cars do you cover?
Every car we cover, by model and system, is on our vehicle compatibility list. If yours is not there, ask; we develop new looms regularly.
How much does it cost?
Kits start at £499.99 for the Range Rover L322 / Discovery 4. Supercar kits are £799.99 to £999 kit only, or £949 to £1,399 supplied and fitted; Rolls-Royce is £1,049 fitted. Prices include UK VAT. Travel is charged separately at 60p per mile. Send your model and year and we will confirm the exact price.
