Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before placing an order with 12K Retrofits. By purchasing from us, you agree to the following terms.
1. General
These terms apply to all sales made by 12K Retrofits, whether for supply & fit or kit-only purchases. 12K Retrofits reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The most current version will always be available on this page.
2. Orders & Payment
All orders are subject to availability. Payment is required in full prior to dispatch or booking confirmation. Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
3. Warranty
3.1 Hardware Warranty Period
All hardware supplied by 12K Retrofits carries an 18-month warranty, applicable to both DIY self-installations and dealer-installed products.
3.2 Warranty Conditions
To be eligible for warranty coverage, the following documentation must be provided at the time of any warranty claim:
- A completed fitting form (available from 12K Retrofits upon purchase)
- Photographs showing all connections made during installation
- A photograph showing the mounting location of the hardware
Failure to provide this documentation may result in a warranty claim being declined.
3.3 What the Warranty Covers
The warranty covers manufacturing defects and hardware failures under normal use conditions. All connections must have been made correctly and in accordance with the provided installation guidelines.
3.4 What the Warranty Does Not Cover
- Damage caused by incorrect installation where documentation cannot confirm otherwise
- Physical damage, misuse, or modification of the hardware
- Water ingress due to improper sealing during installation
- Wear and tear
4. Returns
Returns are accepted in accordance with the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. Under this legislation:
- You have the right to a full refund within 30 days if goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose
- After 30 days and within 6 months, you are entitled to a repair or replacement in the first instance
- The trader bears the cost of return postage for faulty goods
4.1 Incorrectly Ordered Items
If you have ordered the wrong product, returns are accepted, however the return postage cost is the buyer's responsibility. Items must be returned in their original, unused condition and packaging.

5. Installation & Liability
5.1 Kit-Only Purchases
For kit-only (supply only) orders, installation is the responsibility of the buyer or their chosen installer. 12K Retrofits accepts no liability for damage arising from incorrect installation by the customer or any third party.
5.2 Warranty Honoured for Self-Installs
Provided the installation documentation outlined in Section 3.2 is submitted, 12K Retrofits will honour the warranty for self-installed and dealer-installed products on the same basis.
6. Shipping
12K Retrofits ships and fits internationally. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs or third-party couriers.
7. International Warranty Claims
For customers outside the UK: warranty claims that require a physical visit or attendance by a 12K Retrofits technician are subject to reasonable expectations. Travel costs and logistics for international attendance will be discussed and agreed upon in advance on a case-by-case basis. Remote diagnosis and support will always be offered in the first instance.
