Vehicle Compatibility

Confirmed vehicle compatibility for our wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto retrofits, listed by marque and by head-unit system, with the route each car takes. If your car or head unit is not here, send an enquiry: we develop new looms regularly and take on one-off projects where no kit exists.

Two routes. Most of the cars below need a retrofit: a vehicle-specific loom that plugs into the factory connectors behind the screen, with no wiring cut or spliced, so the car can go back to standard at any time. Some newer cars already carry the CarPlay hardware from the factory with it switched off. Those need coding instead, which activates what is already there and involves no parts at all.

McLaren

The McLarens listed below, from the 12C to the 765LT together with the GT, Senna and the GTS up to 2025, are all retrofits, offered kit only or supply and fit, with an OEM reverse camera as an option on some models. The GTS is the one exception on price: it is listed supply and fit, with kit only on enquiry.

The 2026 GTS is the only GTS that leaves the factory with Apple CarPlay. Prices and model-by-model detail are in the McLaren collection.

Ferrari

All the Ferraris listed are retrofits, with CarPlay integrated into the factory screen or binnacle and the original controls retained.

The 458, 488, F8, F12, 812, California, Roma and Portofino share one listing with a model option; the GTC4Lusso and GTC4Lusso T have a listing of their own. Both listings offer a choice of kit only or supply and fit and both are in the Ferrari collection.

Lamborghini

The Aventador and Huracán are retrofits; you can have either as a kit or have us fit it. On the Aventador, CarPlay works through the factory screen and controls. The Huracán has no centre screen for its infotainment; it uses the digital instrument cluster and CarPlay is displayed there. The Urus already has the hardware and is coded.

Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce is identified by infotainment generation, not model year; the Phantom alone spans all three systems.

Phantom 2006 to 2012 is CCC, with a 7-inch display. Ghost 2010 to 2014 and Phantom 2013 to 2016 are CIC, with a 10.25-inch display. Ghost 2015 to 2018, Wraith 2014 to 2017, Dawn 2015 to 2018 and Phantom 2016 to 2018 are NBT, also on a 10.25-inch display.

All three generations use BMW iDrive electronics, so the rotary controller and steering-wheel buttons are retained and NBT cars keep their touchscreen as well. If you are not sure which your car has, send the year and a photograph of the screen and controller.

All three are retrofits, priced supplied and fitted; a kit on its own can be supplied if you ask. NBT EVO and later cars, including the Cullinan, are covered on enquiry. The three listings are in the Rolls-Royce collection.

Porsche

Covering the 911, 718, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, Panamera and Macan. Which route applies depends on the PCM generation: PCM 3.0, PCM 3.1 and CDR-31 cars take a retrofit and PCM 4.0 cars already have the module and are coded. More detail is on our Porsche page.

Mercedes-Benz

NTG 3.0 through to NTG 5.5 are retrofits. The SLS AMG is a different job: a full touchscreen that fits the factory aperture with no modification to the dash; COMAND and the reverse camera are retained. The SLS can also be supplied as CarPlay integration without the screen upgrade. Send the model, year and a photograph of the head unit and we will identify the NTG generation.

Bentley

MIB 3 cars are covered by retrofit and by coding. The Continental GT and Flying Spur with the circa-2014 head unit take a retrofit. A photograph of the head unit with the model and year tells us which applies. More detail is on our Bentley page.

Coding rather than hardware

Not every car needs a loom. We code Porsche PCM 4.0, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley and Rolls-Royce. Send the VIN and we will check what the car supports before you buy anything.

Bespoke projects

Where no kit exists for a car, we engineer one: CAN mapping and controller firmware, developed for that car alone. That work has included a Ferrari LaFerrari and a McLaren Senna.

Bespoke work is quoted individually and carries the same 18-month hardware warranty as everything else we supply.
