Outside the UK, import duty and local taxes are payable on arrival and are not included in the price or shipping charge; this includes the USA, where the $800 duty-free allowance no longer applies.

The 540C was the way into McLaren ownership and it came with the same 7-inch portrait IRIS 2 screen as the rest of the Sports Series. McLaren never offered CarPlay on it. This McLaren 540C Apple CarPlay retrofit adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the screen the car already has.
The kit is a plug-and-play loom made for the 540C. It connects to the existing factory connectors behind the head unit, so the factory wiring stays intact and the kit can be removed later leaving the car as it was.
What changes and what stays
Many 540Cs are driven daily and on a daily car the factory navigation is what dates the cabin most. With the retrofit, your phone supplies maps, messages, music and calls to the centre screen. The factory audio sources, the reversing camera and the steering-wheel controls are all retained.
The 540C was built as a coupe only. An OEM reverse camera can be fitted in the same visit if your car did not come with one.
Kit only or supply and fit
Kit only is £799.99, shipped from Leicester with a fitting guide and remote support. Supply and fit is £1,049.99. The centre console has to come apart to reach the head unit, so unless you or your installer have done this on a McLaren before, we would suggest we do it.
Warranty and fitting
The 18-month hardware warranty applies whichever route you take. On a self-install we ask for the fitting form and photographs of the connections and mounting location at the time of fitting and the warranty stands. We come to the car anywhere in the UK, at your home, office or wherever it is kept, with travel charged at 60p per mile on the round trip from Leicester.
