McLaren 720S Apple CarPlay

The 720S moved McLaren onto a bigger 8-inch portrait centre screen and added the folding driver display, and it still did not come with Apple CarPlay. Cars built from 2017 to 2022 all shipped without it.

This retrofit runs wireless CarPlay and Android Auto through that centre screen. The loom is specific to the 720S platform and plugs in behind the unit, so there is no cutting and no splicing, and it is entirely reversible.

The larger Super Series screen

Because the 720S screen is bigger than the Sports Series unit, CarPlay has noticeably more room on it — maps in particular are far more usable than on a 570S. The folding instrument display, the Active Dynamics controls either side of the screen and the reversing camera are all left exactly as they were.

Kit only or supply and fit

Buy the kit to fit yourself or through your own installer, or have us come to the car. The centre stack has to come out, so professional fitting is strongly recommended.
