Ships worldwide, including the USA. Every kit is dispatched from Leicester with a fitting guide and remote support. Outside the UK, import duty and local taxes are payable on arrival and are not included in the price or shipping charge; this includes the USA, where the $800 duty-free allowance no longer applies.
Mobile fitting is available nationwide, and globally on request.
The GT is McLaren's grand tourer: a boot, a softer ride and a cabin intended for long days. It is the McLaren most likely to spend five hours on a motorway, which makes the absence of factory CarPlay more noticeable here than on the track-biased cars. A McLaren GT Apple CarPlay retrofit puts that right.
We add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the car's portrait touchscreen with a vehicle-specific plug-and-play loom. The factory wiring stays intact and the installation is fully reversible.
What changes and what stays
Live traffic, current maps, podcasts and hands-free messaging arrive on the factory screen, with the phone connected wirelessly. The original audio sources, the reversing camera and the steering-wheel controls are retained and work as before. Nothing in the interior looks different.
Kit only or supply and fit
The kit is £799.99 and ships from Leicester with a fitting guide; we are on hand remotely for your installer. Fitted by us it is £1,049.99. The centre console has to be dismantled to reach the head unit, which is straightforward for someone who knows the car and slow for someone who does not, so we would suggest professional fitting.
Warranty and fitting
Every kit carries an 18-month hardware warranty, honoured whoever fits it, provided the fitting form and photographs of the connections and mounting location come back to us at installation. The work is done at your home, office or storage facility anywhere in the UK; overseas visits are arranged and quoted in advance. If anything is unclear, ask us before you order.
