McLaren GT Apple CarPlay

The GT was McLaren's grand tourer — the one with a boot, a softer ride and an interior meant for spending hours in. It is the model where the absence of factory Apple CarPlay is least defensible, because it is the McLaren most likely to be doing five hours up a motorway.

This retrofit adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto to the car's portrait touchscreen. Vehicle-specific plug-in loom, nothing cut, nothing spliced, fully reversible.

Built for the way a GT gets used

Live traffic, decent maps, podcasts and hands-free messaging are the things that actually matter on a long run, and none of them were properly available from the factory system. This is the upgrade that makes a GT do the job it was designed for.

The original audio sources, reversing camera and steering wheel controls are all retained and behave exactly as before.

Kit only or supply and fit

Take the kit for your own installer, or have us come to the car anywhere in the UK. The centre console has to be dismantled, so professional fitting is recommended.
