Ships worldwide, including the USA. Every kit is dispatched from Leicester with a fitting guide and remote support. Outside the UK, import duty and local taxes are payable on arrival and are not included in the price or shipping charge; this includes the USA, where the $800 duty-free allowance no longer applies.
Mobile fitting is available nationwide, and globally on request.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for the Mercedes-AMG SLS, supplied two ways: as a CarPlay integration working with the car's existing COMAND display, or together with a touchscreen upgrade that fits the original aperture. The Mercedes-AMG SLS Apple CarPlay retrofit is £899.99 without the touchscreen and £1,099.99 with it; you choose under Touchscreen Upgrade when ordering.
COMAND stays in the car either way and so does the reverse camera. The kit is complete and comes with a step-by-step installation guide.
What changes and what stays
Without the touchscreen upgrade, CarPlay and Android Auto are added to the existing COMAND display. With it, the factory screen is replaced by a touchscreen made to the dimensions of the original aperture, so the dashboard is not modified and you gain touch operation alongside CarPlay.
Kit only or supply and fit
The kit ships worldwide from Leicester with the installation guide and remote support. We should be plain about the work involved, though. Reaching the head unit in an SLS means a good deal of disassembly and the wiring wants someone who has done it before. It is a job we would rather do ourselves and we fit anywhere in the UK at your home, office or storage facility. Ask us when you order and we will arrange a date.
Warranty and shipping
An 18-month hardware warranty applies to both versions, whether we fit the kit or someone else does; for a third-party installation we ask for the fitting form and photographs of the connections and the mounting location at the time of the work. Prices include UK VAT. Kits sent outside the UK may attract import duty and local taxes on arrival, which are not included.
