The SmarTrack S7 Tracker is a Thatcham S7 category GPS tracker, monitored around the clock by the Global Telemetrics Secure Control Centre and fitted by us at your home, office or storage facility. Thatcham S7 is recognised by UK insurers. The price of £499 includes the fitting.
The unit does one job: it knows where the car is and tells the control centre and you, when it moves. It does not know who is driving. For that you need the S5 D-iD, which is covered below.

S7 or S5?
The difference is driver identification. The S7 knows where the car is. The S5 D-iD also knows whether an authorised driver is present and raises an alert if the car moves without one. That is the part that defends against key theft and relay attacks and it is why many insurers specify S5 on higher-value vehicles.
If your policy names a category, check it before ordering. If it does not, or you are unsure, send us the vehicle and the wording from your policy and we will tell you which unit satisfies it.
Fitting and monitoring
We fit the S7 at your location anywhere in the UK. Travel is charged at 60p per mile from Leicester, calculated on the round trip. Monitoring is provided by Global Telemetrics under a subscription, which is required and quoted separately. We also fit MetaTrak S5 and S7 units.
